I can swear it started as a brilliant idea


It all started with what I felt was a simple idea:

You control an operator inside a warmachine, you have to control it’s rotation, point different rooms in a certain direction to get resources, which you then as the Operator have to collect and move towards other rooms, to either fuel it’s weaponry, or craft ammunition. As the items inside the machine would be affected by gravity you would have to be careful while rotating so these items don’t hit the main engine, which if it took too much damage would explode. Enemies would appear from the sides and the top, camera zooming out, you’d had to rotate the machine towards the enemies with the weapon you want to fight with, then as the Operator move towards that room, and start using the weapon in that room, aiming and shooting down enemies.

But not everything went as planned, a lot of irl stuff I had to deal with left me with next to no time, and encountering bugs with the main mechanic early on in the development process discouraged me from continuing down that road; as time drew near and the project was left unfinished I had a choice: drop the jam, or finish the project however I could.
